  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/8 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 oz melted chocolate
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/8 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp green coloring
  • 8 oz marzipan


  • Start by setting your oven to preheat at 350 Degrees F
  • Prepare a 10 inch roll pan by greasing it
  • Mix flour, coco, salt and baking powder together.
  • In a bowl beat sugar and egg yolks until light and fluffy.
  • Add the flour  and milk to the egg mix beating it to ensure a smooth mix.
  • Wisk the egg whites till it becomes
  • Add beaten egg white to the flour mix and mix well
  • Pour out the cake mix into the greased pan and bake for 12 minutes at 350 Degree F.
  • Take  a clean cloth and dust powdered sugar on it.
  • Remove the cool cake on the cloth.
  • Remove the wax paper from the cake.
  • Trim cake edges. Starting with a long side, roll up cake, jelly-roll style.
  • Remove cloth and spread whipped cream on the cake.

For the frosting

  • In a pan mix, heavy cream, melted chocolate and butter and bring to boil.
  • Keep stirring the mix until the mix is well blended.
  • Remove the mix from the flame and allow to completely cool.
  • Using a blunt knife apply the frosting to the cake.

For the garnishing

  • Add color to the marzipan kneading it well.
  • Roll out the marzipan, using a knife cut out the leaves .
  • Arrange the leaves on the cake.
